Mandrile & Melis, our activity
Ancient recipes and new ideas, tradition and technology, top quality ingredients. These are the factors of the 20 years’ success of Mandrile & Melis products, in Italy and abroad.
The firm started its activity with the chocolate “cuneese”, so called from the city of Cuneo, where it was first created in 1923 with a meringue and rhum still used by its creators.
With passion and creativity, M&M has been able to develop and enrich the basic traditional cuneese with new flavours and combinations, to reach a total of 42 different products and always adding new chocolate creations.
Each and every creation is a masterpiece of wholesomeness, as it is confirmed by the light white layer appearing sometimes on our chocolates after changes of temperature; this is nothing but one of our key ingredients, the “dear old Cocoa Butter”.
While our brand M&M is available on the European markets, we devote part of our production to bigger confectioner’s firms which are well known on the Italian and foreign markets.
M&M is based in Fossano, in northwestern Italy, with a production site and a retail shop.
